Often, when and how you capture a scene is as important as the subject... Look at these several views of more or less the same patch in the garden, captured at several different times on a couple of different days, from different angles and viewpoints.. Of course there were more shots that didn't make the cut...

Late afternoon, close view; Zigadenus elegans (pretty sure my original plant was from B.C. in my teens, but local plants look the same) with Anaphalis margaritacea that popped up in the garden a few years ago, none locally that I've seen, and if it was an old garden survivor, it was doing a good job of hiding! |
