An Endless Palette of White! Early January 2011

I always think that in winter I will get caught up sorting and editing all my wildflower photos of the summer, but guess what? I still take a lot of photos in winter! In some ways, the landscape is more dynamic in winter, with constantly changing weather: snow in the air, on the ground, blowing, drifting, melting, freezing! (ice) fog, hoar frost, trees coated in white then bare again, etc etc..

In the album are just a few shots from early this month, all taken from the vehicle on the drive to work in Rocky Mountain House (though none of these shots are in or near Rocky); several are on the 3-4 miles of gravel road (depending on route) before we get to a paved road/highway....

Here is an altered image............just about 2 miles up the road...
